Jeffrey Moss (June 19, 1942 - September 24, 1998) was a writer and composer associated with "Sesame Street" until his premature death from cancer. The creator of the "Cookie Monster" & "Oscar the Grouch". Moss penned more than a dozen best-selling books under the "Sesame Street" name, including "The 'Sesame Street' Book of Poetry. Also three children's poetry collections, "The Butterfly Jar," "The Other Side of the Door" and "Bone Poems,".

Jonathan Larson (February 4, 1960 – January 25, 1996) was an American Tony Award-winning composer and playwright who lived in New York City and authored musicals, including Rent and Tick, Tick... BOOM!. These musicals tackle serious issues such as multiculturalism, addiction, homophobia, and the AIDS epidemic. His artistic vision and goal was to fuse Generation X and the MTV Generation with the world of musical theatre in his work. This mission was accomplished by his magnum opus, Rent, which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and won four Tony Awards.
Kinky Friedman

"Kinky" Friedman (born October 31, 1944) an American singer, songwriter, novelist, humorist, politician and former columnist for Texas Monthly who styles himself in the mold of popular American satirists Will Rogers and Mark Twain. He was one of two independent candidates in the 2006 election for the office of Governor of Texas. Receiving 12.6% of the vote, Friedman placed fourth in the five-party race.

Sheldon Alan "Shel" Silverstein (September 25, 1930 – May 10, 1999) was an American poet, songwriter, musician, composer, cartoonist, screenwriter and author of children's books. He sometimes styled himself as Uncle Shelby especially for his early children's books.

Silverstein confirmed he never studied the poetry of others, and therefore developed his own style: laid-back and conversational, occasionally employing profanity, and slang.

Albert Hague (born October 13, 1920 - died November 12, 2001) was a German-born songwriter and composer.

Hague was born as Albert Marcuse to a Jewish family in Berlin, Germany. His father was a psychiatrist and a musical prodigy and his mother a chess champion. His family considered their Jewish heritage a liability and raised him as a Lutheran.

Hague came to America in 1939 on scholarship to the University of Cincinnati. After graduating in 1942, he served in the United States Air Force during World War II.

Andrew "Dice" Clay, born Andrew Clay Silverstein (born on September 29, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York) is an American comedian and actor. He is known for his profane comedy in a career that has lasted more than 20 years. His popularity peaked in the late 1980s.

Director Jay Dubin was quoted on the "E! True Hollywood Story: Andrew 'Dice' Clay" as saying, in effect, "What's the bad news? That he's making seven figures in Vegas?", a reference to Clay's popular Las Vegas Strip comedy shows. He was ranked number 95 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time. After a live comedy appearance on the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards he received a "lifetime ban" due to his profane language and offensive jokes. According to his new show Dice: Undisputed on VH1, Clay is engaged to Eleanor Kerrigan, a former professional wrestler with the professional name EZ Rider, from Women of Wrestling.

Ed Ames (born Edmund Dantes Urick on July 9, 1927) is an American popular singer and actor. He is best known for his Pop and Adult Contemporary hits of the 1960s like "When the Snow is on the Roses". He also was originally part of a popular singing group of 1950s called The Ames Brothers.

Ames was born in Malden, Massachusetts to Russian Jewish immigrants. He was one of nine children, five boys and four girls. Ames grew up in a poor household, but was educated in Classical and Opera music, as well as in Literature, such as Shakespeare.
