In 2007, she took a part in the Maxim photo shoot "Women of the Israeli army", which focused on Israeli models who were members of the Israeli Army. Gal's photo was on the invitation to the launch party for the controversial issue, and featured on the cover of the New York Post. In 2008, Gadot performed the lead role on the Israeli drama Bubot ("Dolls"). She was also chosen to be the leading model of Castro, one of the largest Israeli clothing brands. Her height is 175 cm.

Gadot appeared in Fast & Furious alongside co-stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, having beaten six other actresses to the role. Earlier in the same year, she had a small role in the movie Date Night as Natanya, Holbrooke's (Mark Wahlberg) Israeli girlfriend. April 2011 brought her back to the The Fast & the Furious franchise, reprising her character in Fast Five.

Personal life

Gadot was born and grew up in Rosh HaAyin, Israel. At the age of 19, she attended and won the 2004 Miss Israel competition. After winning, she travelled to Ecuador to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. She did not place in the top 15 and returned to Israel to work as a model. She eventually made the move to Hollywood and became an actress. Gadot married her boyfriend the business man Yaron Versano during the filming of Fast & Furious on September 28, 2008. As it became known in June 2011 after two and half years of marriage, Gal and her husband are expecting for their first baby. At the beginning of November 2011 Gadot and Versano welcomed their first baby girl, Alma.
